Zija

  • We repositioned and redesigned the La Viarte brand, a winery in the Colli Orientali region (Friuli - Italy), to increase awareness and give strength to its previously anonymous offering. The new identity communicates both the heritage and expertise of the long brand history and the contemporary vision to be an innovative reference point in the wine industry.

Zija, also known as Malvazija in Slovenian, celebrates ancient fermentation techniques without filtering in a contemporary way; this process is expressed by a label that guides the viewer on a journey through a series of doors, imparting a sense of materiality and three-dimensionality.

The label - made of Avery Dennison Fasson Cotton Touch - becomes a portal to a unique sensory journey. Each element of the label is designed to tell the story of the fermentation process, transporting the consumer through a series of symbolic doors that lead to the discovery of the wine's secrets and nuances. This sequence of doors, precisely delineated and delicately engraved, offers a tangible sense of materiality and three-dimensionality - thanks to a particular process of blind debossing on 7 levels - inviting the viewer to explore and fully immerse themselves in the sensory experience offered by Zija wine.
