Mulino Bianco, The Exhibeetion.
-
The Exhibeetion was created with the goal of connecting the viewpoint of bees with that of people. Because looking at biodiversity from a different point of view is the first step in defending it. This is why Mulino Bianco has developed a framework for the sustainable cultivation of soft wheat, the "Carta del Mulino" (The Mulino Bianco Charter). Launched in 2019, the "Carta del Mulino" is a handbook written together with WWF Italy, the University of Bologna, and Tuscia University and features 2,600 farms, 16 grain mills, 80 storage centers and 10 production facilities.
Among the ten items included in the "Carta del Mulino" is a commitment to set aside 3 percent of wheat fields for flowers, which is equivalent to about 2,500 soccer fields each year, helping to defend biodiversity and safeguard bees and other pollinating insects. Today, already more than 320,000 tons of soft wheat are grown in compliance with the "Carta del Mulino", and more than 100 Mulino Bianco products contain this ingredient.
The immersive experience is narrated directly by one of its protagonists, the bee; the tiny insect, through its eyes and voice, guides visitors on a spectacular journey through flowering fields, discovering the beauty of biodiversity. Conceived by Viceversa Studio and produced by Basement HQ, The Exhibeetion is accompanied by original music composed by Emiliano Bagnato.
